COVID-19 Response

May 19, 2020 Update
After prayerful consideration of the current situation, we made the decision to continue to suspend our in-person ministry. Although the restrictions are loosening and allowing churches to re-open cautiously and with measures in place, we want to take our time inviting members to gather. We will continue to offer online worship: online worship via live streaming

March 19, 2020 Update

After prayerful consideration of the current situation, we made the decision to suspend our in-person ministry. This includes suspending Sunday worship and Wednesday evening worship.

A lot could be said about the reasons for this decision. Gatherings under 50 are not officially restricted currently. But the risk is still real. Here is a simple way to explain it: as God-fearing Christians we want to obey God's representatives in government (4th Commandment) and prioritize the health and welfare of our neighbour (5th commandment), while still continuing to hear God's Word (3rd Commandment).

We encourage you to continue to turn to God's Word for encouragement, comfort, and peace.

We encourage you to worship online via our video streaming.

Many other WELS church offer live-streaming. Here's a list.

Our WELS magazine Forward in Christ has a new website. It gives you one more option to learn more about our gospel ministry, grow in faith, read a devotion, peruse an article. Maybe you like the old-school magazine that you can actually hold in your hands, with pages and everything. Maybe you like to scroll and click instead. Give it a try!

Daily Devotions are available online from WELS. They can be viewed online or delivered to your email inbox.

May Jesus continue to hold you in his care!

The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer, my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. ~ 2 Samuel 22:2,3
